Both are non-profit. \nDonations to the C3 (Ed Trust) are tax-deductible\, as charitable contributions. But the only thing we can do with that money is educate. \nDonations to the C4 (General Fund) are not tax-deductible. For this reason\, the C4 is chronically under-funded. But we can do a lot more with the money. In addition to education\, we can work to change or create laws. We can host a Capitol Rally and a State Convention. \nWhy is this so important? \nThe abortion pill crisis will not be solved by education alone. We need pro-life laws\, and we need to elect representatives who will pass those laws. For example\, in 2026\, WVFL is supporting legislation that will add two key components to the continuing education requirement for medical personnel: 1) The life-threatening dangers that abortion pills pose to women; and\, 2) Abortion pill reversal is safe and effective. This would help ensure that women who end up in the ER are properly diagnosed and treated\, and that women who change their mind are given the life-saving help they request. But\, legally\, WVFL must have C4 money to do this work. \nIn 2024\, 90% of Americans took the Standard Deduction on their taxes. If you are in this group\, that means it does not make a penny of difference on your taxes whether you give to the C3 or the C4. Therefore\, if you are in this group\, would you please consider checking the C4 box on the Commitment Card directing your Rose Dinner money to the C4?  If you are in the small minority of people who itemize your deductions\, we certainly understand if you would prefer to give to the C3. \nPlease know that WVFL is very grateful for every donation we receive – large or small\, no matter where it is designated! DESCRIPTION:October 3\, 2026 @ 10:00 am – 3:00 pm (Doors open at 9:00) \nWest Virginians for Life invites young and old alike to attend its Annual State Pro-Life Convention on Saturday\, October 4\, 2026 from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. at Trinity Assembly of God in Fairmont\, WV. Doors open at 9 a.m. The theme is “We the People”.  \nCost: $35 per person\, a buffet lunch is included. College students and teens pay only $15. Groups of 10 or more pay only $25 per person (adults) or $10 per person (college students/teens). \n \nKeynote Speaker Steven W. Mosher is an internationally recognized authority on China and population issues\, as well as an acclaimed author\, speaker. He has worked tirelessly since 1979 to fight coercive population control programs and has helped hundreds of thousands of women and families worldwide over the years. \nIn 1979\, Steven was the first American social scientist to visit mainland China. He was invited there by the Chinese government\, where he had access to government documents and actually witnessed women being forced to have abortions under the new “one-child policy.” Mr. Mosher was a pro-choice atheist at the time\, but witnessing these traumatic abortions led him to reconsider his convictions and to eventually become a practicing\, pro-life Roman Catholic. \nSteven has appeared numerous times before Congress as an expert in world population\, China\, and human rights abuses.
