Dear Friends for Life,

It is my great joy to wish you a very Merry Christmas and all the blessings of the season.  It is certainly a time to think of family and the excitement of children as we welcome the birth of our savior.  Everyone in the pro-life movement can marvel at God’s wisdom in sending his son to us in the form of an embryo conceived in Mary’s womb to be born as a “little, tiny child.”  May our love for Him be extended to all children in the wombs of their mothers.  May they survive our culture of abortion to experience their own birth.

On January 22, 2014, we will be recognizing the anniversary of Roe vs. Wade and Doe vs. Bolton, which invalidated the properly passed abortion laws in all 50 states and made, in all practicality, abortion on demand the law of the land.  Pro-life supporters will, once again, gather in Washington, D.C. for the March for Life.  A bus will be going from Morgantown and another will be making the trip from Inwood for the March and a meeting with our Congressional delegation.  Contact the office for more information, 304-594-9845.

In January, the WV Legislative Session will begin, and we will continue our efforts to educate our legislators on the importance of passing legislation to opt-out of abortion in the health care exchange here in West Virginia.  We must gather petitions to demonstrate to our legislative leaders that the people of the state don’t want to pay for abortion in their health care.

If you have signed the petitions, I want to thank you for making your voice heard.   There is still time to be part of this important pro-life effort.  Please continue to collect signatures on these petitions from all your friends and family and at your church and prayer groups.  You can download a petition from our webpage.  Signed petitions should be mailed  to:  WVFL, 25 Canyon Road, Morgantown, WV, 26508.
