The 14th annual Rose Dinner is Thursday, November 15 with a reception at 6 p.m. and dinner at 7 p.m.  The dinner always raises funds for the Educational Trust Fund in order for the educational work of West Virginians for Life to continue.

Robert P. George is McCormick Professor of Jurisprudence and Director of the James Madison Program in American Ideals and Institutions at Princeton University.  He has served on the President’s Council on Bioethics and as a presidential appointee to the United States Commission on Civil Rights.  He is a former Judicial Fellow at the Supreme Court of the United States, where he received the Justice Tom C. Clark Award. His recent honors include the United States Presidential Citizens Medal and the Honorific Medal for the Defense of Human Rights of the Republic of Poland.  He gave the 2007 John Dewey Lecture in Philosophy of Law at Harvard and the 2008 Guido Calabresi Lecture in Law and Religion at Yale.  A graduate of Swarthmore College and Harvard Law School, he earned a doctorate in legal philosophy from Oxford University, and holds honorary doctorates of law, letters, science, ethics, civil law, humane letters, and juridical science.
