The 2013 Teen Essay Contest Winners have been determined and West Virginians for Life wishes to congratulate all six of them beginning with the Senior Essay Division. These students range from tenth through 12th grade. The third place winner is Shane Manuel Bolinger (10th grade) of Bridgeport, OH, the second place winner is Anastasia Williamson (10th grade) of Wheeling, WV and 1st place goes to Elizabeth Satterfield (10th grade) of Independence, WV.

In the Junior Division, students from 7th through 9th grade could participate. In that category, the third place winner is Megan Hope Wright (8th grade) of Wheeling, WV, the second place winner is Andrea Clarke (8th grade) of St. Clairsville, OH and the first place finish goes to Grace Tillman (9th grade) of Lost Creek, WV.

Prizes are $200 to the first place winners, $150 to second place and third place finishers receive $100. In addition, all six receive a certificate and a copy of “Courageous: Students Abolishing Abortion in This Lifetime” courtesy of Students for Life of America. The two 1st place winners have been asked to read their essays at the noon Pro-Life Rally in Charleston at the State Capitol on Tuesday, February 11, 2014. All six essays will be printed in the March edition of Life Matters.

All 63 entrants in the contest receive water bottles with the WV Teens for Life logo on them.
