Wanda Franz, Ph.D.
WVFL President

Dear Friends,

We at West Virginians for Life deeply appreciate your commitment to the pro-life cause and your support of our work for life here in West Virginia. One of our primary goals is to educate pro-life West Virginians. A major opportunity for education occurs at our annual WVFL Convention.

We invite you and your family and friends to attend this year’s convention on September 27 at Trinity Assembly of God in Fairmont, WV. The doors will open at 9:00 a.m. for registration and the event will run from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Lunch will be served. Child care will be provided ONLY if you register in advance.

Come to WVFL Convention 2014 for top-notch educational presentations. As you know, we have been working to pass, and subsequently over-ride, the Governor’s veto of our Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act. Speaking about the importance of passing this legislation will be National Right to Life lawyer, Mary Balch, J.D., who developed this legislative concept.

In addition, Dr. Byron Calhoun will talk about the loving alternative to abortion: the patient-oriented concept of Fetal Hospice. Just as we provide care and support for the patient and family of any dying patient, we should provide such care for the dying unborn child in the womb.

Wanda Franz, Ph.D. will give attendees an update on West Virginia law regarding end-of-life issues. She will discuss the importance of having a medical power of attorney and “Will to Live.” Karen Cross, National Right Life Political Director, will discuss the importance of the upcoming election. Attorney General Patrick Morrisey has also been invited and is expected to attend.

Please consider becoming an advertiser/sponsor of our Convention. The advertisers/sponsors are listed in the Annual Pro-life Resource Manual and in Life Matters, the statewide newspaper of WVFL. Click here to go the events page where you will find a Convention registration brochure, an ad contract and a sponsor form.

Sincerely,

Wanda Franz, Ph.D.

P.S. Don’t forget to REGISTER TO VOTE. The last day to do so is October 14 whether due to address change, having turned 18 years of age or change of political party. Talk to your family and friends and make sure they are prepared to vote on November 4, which is their right and patriotic duty.
