West Virginians for Life invites young and old alike to attend its Annual State Pro-Life Convention on Saturday, October 20, 2018 from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. at Trinity Assembly of God in Fairmont, WV. Doors open at 9 a.m. The theme is “Love Them All.” For $35, a buffet lunch is included. College students and teens pay only $20. The hottest topic will be the Vote YES on Amendment 1 crusade. Also featured will be National Right to Life Political Director Karen Cross as well as WVFL President Dr. Wanda Franz. The teens will find inspiration by attending the Teen Day Camp, which runs parallel to the adult convention. Catering to teens, the day camp will provide time for games in addition to learning.
Convention Keynote Change
Due to a freak accident, scheduled speaker Nancy Valko, who is on the mend, is unable to speak at the convention.
New keynote will be Ellen Salter, a pro-life speaker whose greatest passions in life are serving Jesus and defending every soul’s right to life as a gift from God.
Ellen’s daughter, Meghan, has an undiagnosed medical condition which renders her unable to eat, speak, move or breathe on her own. Meghan, who wasn’t expected to live past 6 months is now 15 years old and has been on life support since she was an infant and is cared for at home by her family and a small contingent of nurses periodically.
Ellen boldly defends life, speaking out for the handicapped, weak and vulnerable in our society, as well as opposing euthanasia. Through scripture and prayer, she unites her families sufferings; drawing them closer to the heart of Christ.
